The government seems to be in the business of regulating our internet. If it can’t be seen as an information highway, it can’t be regulated.
Net neutrality is one of the big problems with the internet today. What it means is that every website is allowed to send or receive email from other websites as long as it doesn’t discriminate against them. It’s a big deal in a world where you can have a website that doesn’t even allow people to post photos of their children on its pages. This has actually created a lot of confusion and the government has created a bunch of rules to try to stem this confusion.
This is a problem because it means that you can never be sure what goes on on a website. Sure most people are going to agree that it would not be great if you could not be certain of what is going on on any website. However, one website can be sending emails to another and not know you had an email. This is a huge problem because there is little oversight and people can still be able to send email as long as they dont send it to sites that violate net neutrality.
The fact is that there is no way to be certain what is going to happen on any website. If you are involved in the internet, you can look at the history of sites that have been hacked and see who has been hacked. You can look at the history of websites that have been hacked and see who has been hacked. There are ways to try to detect problems, but there are no ways to be sure what is going on.
In the world of the internet, it is impossible to know what is going to happen unless the website is hacked. This means that any attempt to block the entire internet is futile. We may be able to monitor what sites are blocked, but it is impossible to tell what sites are not blocked. Also, blocking the entire internet is pointless. If you have millions of sites that you want to block, you would have to block every single one of them.
The last thing we need is to have the entire internet block us from accessing information. We are the internet, the backbone of the internet. We don’t have to be in the same network as other sites. If we were to get all of our information from one site, we’d be able to do anything.
The net neutrality debate is quite the spectacle. Some believe that net neutrality is a public service that should be regulated by the government. Others believe that it is a privately held corporation that should be left alone to decide how it wants to be regulated. These arguments can be resolved through debate, but for the moment, let’s just agree to not fight over what is a private corporation with a lot of money.
Although there are some who are on the net neutrality side and others on the government side, it’s important to note that net neutrality is not some sort of moral or legal issue. The net neutrality argument is just that: a business interest group wants to make sure that people aren’t able to make money from a website or a service by charging for that website or service.
Even if the net neutrality debate is settled, it is still not settled. There are still some who want to keep control of the internet, and who want to make sure that corporations like Comcast and AT&T keep their profits. This is the very same people, the same organization, who would like to make sure our kids could watch all of the videos their parents watch. This is the same people who would like to make sure that people can access all the content made by their favorite bands.
I think it is very important that both sides get some space to breathe. Whether you are a libertarian who wants to let corporations do what they want and take all of the profits, or a company that wants to keep your service and your profits, we need to let them do their business.
