When we think of narcissists, we tend to think of a man with a strong ego and extreme self-absorption. We tend to believe that this narcissistic person will be able to accomplish anything they set their mind to accomplish. We tend to believe that they are unstoppable and that they can simply find excuses not to do the things that need to be done. We tend to believe that they are more powerful than they really are.
What’s not true is that narcissists have a problem with self-awareness. They don’t really have a problem with it, but they think they do. They think that they can manage their own thoughts and self-perceptions and that they’re so superior and that everyone else is inferior. They’re not wrong in thinking that they are superior.
Narcissism is a problem because it allows them to believe they are superior to others. It encourages them to believe their thoughts and ideas are more important than others. If those ideas were just as important as anyone else, they wouldnt be so self-percieved. But that doesnt mean they are right.
Narcissists need to feel special in order to feel superior and they dont like being told that theyre no better than others. They are the ones who are trying to convince everyone that theyre superior. Theyve been taught that theyre superior to the rest of us. Theyve been taught to feel like theyare special. Theyve been taught that were inferior and theyre superior. Theyve been taught that we have no value.
Narcissistic behavior is a psychological disorder, and for some people, it can be triggered by exposure to people who are better than them. In this case, it seems that someone was trying to trick Colt into thinking he had the best of everything. This is a pretty stupid thing to do, and I can understand Colt being pissed but at least he shouldve told someone. He’s also a man who likes to go out and kill people.
But to think that the narcissist on facebook is a person who has a bad day, well, you really do have the wrong idea. The narcissist on facebook is a person who has been systematically wronged. And it makes sense that Colt is pissed. He thinks his life has been ruined and that he needs revenge.
I hate to start this off with a “you have to be there” but, yes, you have to be there to even begin to understand this. But seriously, I think the narcissist on facebook is a perfect metaphor. This is a person who has no clue about anything but what he wants and who is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. To be quite honest, I would be perfectly fine if this was a real person, but it’s basically a psychopath.
The person above is indeed a narcissist. But it’s not necessarily a good thing. Sometimes a narcissist will make bad decisions for selfish reasons, but that’s not always the case. This is a perfectly normal situation.
There are a lot of people on Facebook who are actually perfectly normal people with no self-awareness, but who want to do whatever it takes to accomplish things and who are unwilling to acknowledge the consequences. And for them, it’s like they are their own version of the psychopath on the Facebook. They are willing to do anything to achieve their goals. This is the same behavior that we see on the Internet from people who post racist or sexist things.
Self-awareness is a necessary prerequisite to being an effective problem-solver, and the fact that narcissists believe they can go about solving problems without any self-awareness is the perfect example. For people like this, having no self-awareness is like a huge sign that they are completely devoid of empathy.
