I think it’s important to point out that the phrase “being a Google project manager” is a bit of a misnomer. Not everyone can work as a team, and it doesn’t always work out that way. If you want to become a project manager you will probably have to make a choice about whether or not you want to be working in a team or on your own.
Well, we all know what happens to the people who want to make a living at Google. They make the company what it is and don’t really care what they do with the rest of their lives. They may not be the most productive, but they are definitely not the least. That said, a lot of people make the choice to make Google what it is, whether or not they want to be there 24/7.
