This is the most common word I am asked about every time I talk about my photography. It is one of my favorite topics because it gives me a few opportunities to tell a story and discuss an interesting technique. It is also one of the most misunderstood words in photography.
Gosling is a little-known technique in which a camera captures the movement of light through a subject, then uses this information to create a series of photos that have a similar appearance but different depths. It is incredibly useful because it allows you to create a series of photos that are very similar in appearance but much different in depth.
