For the past few months, I’ve been on a mission to lose weight and reach my fitness goals. I’ve gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of muscle. But something that has never happened to me before is that I have a hard time not eating.
Most of us have a set number of calories a day that we are not eating, but Ive never found that to be the case for me. Ive been able to get through a day without eating in certain ways, but Ive never been able to get through a day without eating in other ways. After a few weeks of trying to eat as healthy as possible, Ive gained back some of my muscle mass back, but Ive also gained a lot of weight from my stomach.
Eating normally has always been my favorite pastime and Ive always been a big fan of the calorie-counting game. It has been this way for years, and it was until last week when I decided that I could eat just as much as ever before without gaining any weight. So Ive started calorie tracking on a new level of self-awareness. The first few weeks, I ate as much as I could before I started tracking calories (and no, Ive not been cheating).
That doesn’t mean I’ve been eating healthy, but I think it’s safe to say that I’m eating healthier than most people. My diet has definitely been more balanced, and I have a lot more of the healthy carbs I used to avoid. And now that I know what I want to eat, it’s easier to just stick to the “diet” all the time. But I’ve had some bad moments.
The thing about cutting carbs is that they tend to spike your blood sugar, which causes you to eat more. When your blood sugar is high, you tend to eat lots of carbs, and when your blood sugar is low, you tend to eat lots of protein. That means you have to watch your diet, especially if you want to lose weight. Also, you can’t just eat as much as you need because you will get full before you can finish.
Eating more protein instead of carbs will help you burn fat faster because you don’t have to eat so much, but you can also eat more carbs if you want to burn more fat.
So while eating fat is definitely beneficial, eating lots of protein for long periods of time is what will raise your blood sugar and will help you lose fat.
Well, I love to cook and eat healthy so I’m not much of a judge. But I do know that some people may not eat enough protein, especially if they are trying to lose weight. If you are eating a lot of carbs, it could be that they are just getting too full and eating too much. But if fat is eating, so are carbs, and they are not at the same time.
The two primary carbs that are eaten and burned off by the body are glucose and fat. Because carbohydrates are broken down to sugar then converted into body fat, a single carb can raise your blood sugar level and make you fat. The problem here is that you are consuming too much protein, which increases your blood sugar level and makes you fat. And that’s why eating protein is important.
So now we have a perfect example of a “fat” diet, but because it’s a “fat” diet it’s all about fat, not about your health. As more people cut calories and lose weight, eating too much protein will raise your blood sugar level and make you fat.
