Comcast’s “latency aqm” is a term that refers to the delay between a customer’s request for a webpage and the time when the webpage is returned. The term has been used by the telecom industry to describe the “slowness” of the ISP when a customer is looking for something on the web.
Comcast latency aqm is something that can actually be a problem for a lot of websites, especially if the ISP’s network is busy. That’s because the browser is generally working hard to keep everything in sync, but we can see that the latency is getting out of sync so the browser ends up not being able to load the page at all.

You would think that since the latency would be caused by the web servers, the page would load quickly, especially if the latency is that significant. But that is not the case. The web server is usually just waiting for the request to complete before it will return a response. It’s not like the page is blocked, waiting for a response.
The latency is often caused by a number of factors. The first factor is that the web server is processing the request, and that can take a long time. Another factor is that when a user visits a web page, the page doesn’t actually have to be sent to the web server. The web page is sent to the web server, but because the web server is waiting for the response, it is not actually receiving the response for a while.
The biggest factor of course, is the latency between your computer and the web server. When your computer is accessing a web server, it is accessing the web server over a link, and because the link is long, it takes a long time for the web server to actually receive the data. When your computer is accessing the web server, it is accessing the web server over a TCP connection, and because the TCP connection is long, it takes a long time for the connection to actually be sent.
That’s a bit of a mouthful, but I believe it’s basically what the latency in the internet will look like in the future. To get around it, some users are going to be using a more efficient type of connection, and that will lead to a shorter latency.
I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not. I know the web is still a work in progress, and that is probably a good thing, but it is starting to become more obvious the internet is no longer a constant stream of data. Instead, it is now a more varied stream of data that is getting processed at varying speeds. I see this as a good thing, however, because I would like to see a bit more data flowing in to the web.
The first problem with this is, if the internet is moving too fast, then you can get packets dropped, and so that makes it a bad thing. Secondly, latency is a problem. I’ve seen people talking about latency as if it’s a bad thing, but it is really not. The reason latency is a problem in the first place is because computers in general are limited by their bandwidth. They are not very fast compared to other types of devices.
So when I hear people talk about latency I picture something like this: a computer is running at 1.5 megabits per second and is connecting to a network (like a local area network) and the network is moving so fast that each packet is taking up to 5 milliseconds. Now, if I had a 1.5 megabit connection to the internet, that would cause my computer to move even faster, which would cause packets to be dropped.
